Last week before half term

Last saturday I went Geocaching around Stithians Reservoir. Found 6 caches and got very muddy.
Sunday was a quiet day but I enjoyed a few drinks of BenRiach Malt whisky that i bought at Constantine.
On Monday i reviewed a number of alternative hosting sites for the ACE2 Moodle. All of them will cost over £3000 pa which is too much. Need to find a better solution.
At work I completed student reviews so that effort and performance grades can be filled in.
Took a look at a Renault Clio which might suit my granddaughter when she passes her driving test.
My IPhone broke and it looks as if it is unrepairable - will go to the Orange shop on saturday in the hope of doing an upgrade deal to an IPhone 4.
Next week is half term - Geocaching with Joesmile on Saturday, Eden Project to see Dinosaurs on Sunday. Geocahing with goblin Slayer on Thursday up around Burrator Reservoir.

More Phones handed out

Had a good day - now completed the handout of almost 100 phones. Students very excited about them - satrung to use them and find out what they can do.
Some staff are beginning to experiment - two groups will be recording evidence of computer construction skills.

Next week I will be handed out phones to some particularly disadvantaged students at our local specila school where students with learning difficulties attend.

Had a star party last Thursday and a student took a great picture of the moon through my telescope lens.
Managed to find an application for QR code reading for Omnias. BeeTagg works ok.

Launceston today

At Launceston tody - took 15 phones back to replace the ones they lent to us for the Paris trip.
Spent time with Emma Stevenson trying to create an NLN account for them. Sent e-mail to NLN and this will take about 7 days.
We also tried to unzip the backup files for the courses created by Shirley but had problems restoring the files. Will look into this tomorrow at Truro.

MoleNet Project

Spent this morning sorting out storage for 140 Omnias which arrived this week. Also logged the serial number and IMEI numbers of the 15 which are to be returned to LAunceston College on Monday - weather permitting!!

Two missed opportunities to get to Launceston last week - Cornwall snowed in on Tuesday and then again on Friday.

First Day

Just created this blog - my first ever.
